Key Features: Rabbit Hole Proof of Work Pretty much the undisputed leading reason this protocol is secure and decentralized. There are primarily 2 types of protocols in the Crypto Currency world. Proof-of-work and Proof-of-stake. P.O.W. Remember the Bingo comparison? When the winning miner yelled “Bingo!” their work was verified by the other miners. They had done the work fastest and did it right – their work was verified (proven to be 1st and right). Once the transaction has been verified it becomes a part of the Blockchain. As more chain links build off the previous ones, each earlier one becomes more secure. The amount of energy required to over-ride the most recent proven link is enormous and incredibly unlikely because it is simply not worth the expense. Each previous link is exponentially more protected. Imagine trying to remove a first layer stone 7 courses deep within a pyramid. Just simply not going to happen without removing a lot of other stones… …and the amount of energy required to do that just simply does not exist within a roughly 10 minute period of time. Proof-of-stake? This method counts on validators based on how many of the underlying currency they hold. Basically, the richest makes the rules as they see fit because they alone know what is best for all. Wow, that sounds familiar, and has worked out really well hasn’t it. Your call, but it seems Bitcoin is the most dominant and secure protocol for a reason. There are a lot of very good tools out there – Bitcoin is the shed. Back to 'Key Features' Register Log In
